Guard your beginnings

“And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah: And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.” Exodus 1:15-16 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/exo.1.15-16.kjv

Guard your beginnings

Guard your beginnings jealously. Beginnings are very important but tend to be taken for granted. It’s the time of the highest vulnerability where the wrong seeds can be planted and destinies contaminated or even destroyed. In the Bible reading today, the Isrealites had multiplied so greatly that they were a threat in the minds of the Egyptians. They had tried everything to break the Isrealites but it wasn’t working. Instead they were multiplying and flourishing. Hence the ‘brilliant idea’ that Pharaoh now had was to eliminate them at the source. Matthew 13:5 records a parable that described the enemies sowing weeds amongst the good seeds that had been planted while men slept. Are you starting a new venture, family, personal or business relationship, career etc? You need to guard with all diligence to ensure that only good seed are sown and that the seeds are allowed to thrive. The good habits, the seeds of prayers, the seeds of hard work, the seeds of the word of God amongst others. Because the Bible reminds us that if the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do. Don’t be carried away in the beginning, the adversary is watching intently to infiltrate the harvest when it is barely noticeable.

Prayer: Dear God, as you birth new ideas, assignments, relationships etc, please help me to vigilant through the inspiration of your Holy Spirit and the word to ensure that they thrive to the glory of your name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
