He is a Speaking God
“Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD hath spoken. Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness. But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD's flock is carried away captive.” Jeremiah 13:15-17 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.13.15-17.kjv

Our God still speaks. From inception till date, God continues to speak. Sometimes, he speaks creatively to make something out of nothing like on the beginning when the earth was void and without shape. He speaks to commend and recommend like he did when he announced to the whole world that Jesus is his son that he is well pleased in. Like the Bible reading today, he also speaks to warn the people and to lead them to repentance to forestall judgement and then he speaks in judgement at which point he may not repent on what he has said except by his own mercy. Our ability to discern when God is speaking to us is critical so that we don’t fall on the wrong side of his judgement. In times like this, when evil pervades the earth, it is important that children of God do not get carried away but in fact become a voice of warning to the world around them to save everyone from impending judgement. Are you discerning God’s voice and tone for the now? Don’t get carried away.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your loving kindness and faithfulness always. Please Lord as you warn us in times like these, help us to be sensitive to your words and instruction. Let us not be dull of hearing o Lord. As we seek your face, please look upon us and heal the land in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
