God is always looking for an intercessor. The Bible tells us that God does not take pleasure in the death of a wicked but that he should turn from his ways and live. The Bible also tells us that if God’s people who are called by his name will humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways that he will heal the land. In Ezekiel 22; we are told that God was looking for someone to bridge the hedge and stand in the gap so that he does not consume the land and he found none.  The story is told in the Bible of how Abraham negotiated with God for the possible waiver of the impending destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. In today’s Bible reading, God wondered at the land and was suprised that there were no intercessors. He was willing to come to those that turn from their wicked ways in Zion. Hence, it is important as Christians to continue to take our stand and watch on behalf of the Land. The Bible says that the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avails much.  Before you throw up your hands about the situation of the land, that family member, community or whatever association, try prayer. Stand in the gap and see if for the sake of the elect God intervenes in that situation. 

Prayer:  Dear Lord, thank you because you are plenteous in mercy. Thank you because you remain faithful and true to your promises. Thank you for the offer of redemption when we seek you in truth. Please Lord help me to see the role that I play as a bridge and help me to take a stand on behalf of my constituency in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
