God loves to fellowship with us. He calls us into an intimate relationship with him. The Bible describes the concept of marriage as a man leaving his family and cleaving to his wife and they become one flesh. In the instructions from Moses to the Israelites as they went into the promise, they were asked to cleave to God. It’s a call to embrace him like all else depends on the connection because it indeed depends on it. So while the instructions start with fearing God, obeying him and serving him, the ultimate desire is a cleaving.  So are you cleaving to God today? Does he occupy a prime spot in your heart? If not, invest in knowing him. It’s a progressive reveal. If you go through the process, you will not be disappointed by what’s on the other side of entering into a relationship with God.
