God confirms his promises. God confirms his prophecies. This is why the word of God asks us to wait for the vision because it will surely come to pass. In today’s promise, the birth of Jesus confirmed a promise to a just and devout old man in Israel who had been looking forward to the salvation that was coming to Isreal. The appointment was a two-way confirmation. One to the person who had been waiting for a long time and the other to the carrier and nurturer of the seed of the promise, Mary.  Alongside Simeon’s confirmation, another person, prophetess Anna also confirmed the glory upon the child Jesus and the assignment of saving the world. These were confirmation to Mary of the prophecy that she had received from Angel Gabriel who delivered the message of the birth of Jesus to her. She connected the dots and kept them to heart. She knew that the child in her custody was not an ordinary child. Has God sent you a promise? He would bring it to pass in its due time.  In the meantime, be sensitive to the confirmations that he sends your way. He does not leave you hanging. He is the keeper and nurturer of the promise.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the Alpha and Omega. The beginning and end. Thank you because you are the reliable promise keeper. Lord, help me to stay focused on my assignment till I enter into my promise. Let me not be distracted in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
