His eyes cannot behold iniquity

โ€œTherefore the Lord was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only. Also Judah kept not the commandments of the Lord their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made. And the Lord rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.โ€ 2 Kings 17:18-20 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/2ki.17.18-20.kjv

His eyes cannot behold iniquity

The Bible tells us that the eyes of the Lord runs to and fro the earth to make himself strong on behalf of those whose heart are perfect before him. The eye of the Lord is very critical for survival and thriving. Yet we are told that the eye of the Lord cannot behold iniquity. While our God is longsuffering and keeps sending warnings for repentance to erring children, at some point, he is unable to look at such children due to the level of sin. We are told that when Jesus carried the sin of the world at Calvary, his beloved father could not look at him. In the Bible reading today, we see that God removed Israel out of his sight and they became prey to the enemy.ย  They lost their inheritance and became slaves. Beloved, God has so many promises and plans for us as his children. He says that his thoughts towards us are to give us a hope and a future. However, we must remain his allies so that he can continue to guide us with his eye. What is God seeing in you today?

Prayer: Dear God, thank you for your lovingkindness. Thank you for your plans and provisions for my life. Father, I come to you afresh asking for the grace to please you always so that your eye will always guide me ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ
