His Mercy Speaks
“For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.” Isaiah 14:1 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.14.1.kjv

Mercy speaks. Mercy prevails. Mercy restores. Mercy establishes. God’s mercy is as critical to any individual as the very air that we breathe. The Bible tells us that our righteousness are like filthy rags before God and so even in our best states we would likely still have flaws that fall short of God’s standards. However, thank God because he is a merciful God whose mercy prevails over judgement. In today’s Bible reading, prophet Isaiah was speaking about what mercy was going to achieve for the remnant of Israel. Mercy was going to restore their land and attract people to them. In God’s mercy, he was going to deal terribly with their oppressors. This is always profound to think about because God’s mercy can actually translate to judgement for an individual depending on what side you are on. Seek God’s face for his mercy always. It is a critical resource for navigating life.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are a merciful God. You do terrible things in righteousness. Please Lord, visit me with your mercy. Let your mercy speak for me and grant restoration in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
