Hold on to Hope
“And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years. And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course, according to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.” Luke 1:6-9 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.1.6-9.kjv

Stand firm in your conviction. Stand firm in your trust. Stand firm in your commitment to the service of the kingdom. For in due time, the reward will come if we don’t faint. The Bible reading today is of the story of the conception of John the Baptist. The excerpted text highlighted the fact that his parents were steadfast in their service to God, despite being old and barren. Their service was not conditioned on their situation. They were faithful regardless. And then one day, at the right time, the appointed time of God they received the message of the arrival of their special child John the Baptist. The Bible is filled with stories of last minute encounters and breakthroughs that came to those who were consistent. Who were at their duty post. Who trusted regardless. Who chose to honor God despite their situation counting him faithful regardless of their situation. Are you about to give up on God or loose the fire of hope? Remember that God’s thoughts towards you are to give you a hope and future and he makes all things beautiful in his time. Stay steadfast. He comes through in unexpected ways and at unexpected times.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness and love. Thank you because you are dependable and reliable. Please help my faith. Help me to stay consistent and please Lord come through for me like only you can in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
