Holiness a prerequisite for divine encounter

โ€œAnd thou shalt put it before the veil that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee. And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the Lord throughout your generations. Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering; neither shall ye pour drink offering thereon.โ€ Exodus 30:6, 8-9 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.30.6-9.kjv

Holiness a prerequisite for divine encounter

The Bible tells us that all of our righteousness as humans is still like filthy rags before God (Isaiah 64:6). And thatโ€™s why we see that in the Bible verse today as with so many others prior, God keeps telling Moses that he will meet with him at the Mercy seat of the altar. He however expects a continuous consecration always. So, as people who must encounter the awesome presence of God regularly, we must strive towards a life of holiness but we must never get a sense of entitlement because our God says that he will have mercy on whom he will. So, at every time we must always seek and plead to be candidates of his mercy because we are saved by Grace.

Prayer: Dear Lord, please make me a candidate of your mercy always. Have mercy on me๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ
