How far are you willing to go for God

“Even such as he is able to get, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meat offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed before the Lord. This is the law of him in whom is the plague of leprosy, whose hand is not able to get that which pertaineth to his cleansing.” Leviticus 14:31-32 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/lev.14.31-32.kjv

How far are you willing to go for God

There is an expectation for cleansing and restoration. It’s not a passive activity. It is one that is done with intentionality. Just as coming to Christ requires acknowledging one’s sinful nature and then accepting the cleansing that is offered in the blood of Jesus. The Bible tells us that God will not reject a broken and contrite heart. In the Bible reading today, God had been providing expectations for those who were to be cleansed from leprosy and the instruction made allowance for those who could not afford the standard offering. However they still had something to do. David said that he would not give to the Lord what costs his nothing. How far are you willing to go for God. The Lord asked Moses “What do you have in your hands”. A deep soul searching will always reveal to you that which you have that God is willing to accept and use.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the saving grace of Jesus that replaced the shedding of the blood of animals for the atonement of my sin. Lord, help me not to take that grace for granted but to always offer you the acceptable sacrifice of a contrite heart that I may be accepted of you 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
