Humble thyself
“LORD, my heart is not haughty, Nor mine eyes lofty: Neither do I exercise myself in Great matters, or in things too high for me. Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, As a child that is weaned of his mother: My soul is even as a weaned child. Let Israel hope in the LORD From henceforth and for ever.” Psalm 131:1-3 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.131.1-3.kjv

The Bible gives us advise on a critical enabler for the divine partnership that leads to growth and lifting. And that is to humble yourself under the nightly hand of God so that he will lift you up in due time. Recall that the whole purpose of man is to give glory to God. When we stay humble, we recognize that we are like a lamp post that is illuminated only because the light source enables it. The Bible tells us that God gives grace to the humble while he resists the proud. Often, individuals are able to stay humble in the very beginning when they are in their lowliest state. However, as soon as the first rung of the ladder is achieved, they become proud of the achievements forgetting that no matter what we achieve on earth there is always levels ahead. Some people have cut short their victory run because they became proud. If in doubt, ask King Saul who God repented about his plans for him and named a replacement. We must like the Bible reading today always recognize and hope in God as our source and sustainer Because ears have not heard, nor eyes seen or even the mind fathom what God has in stuck for his own. But will you be a partner by staying humble?
