Individual vs Collective blessings

“Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the Lord said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadesh–barnea. And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the Lord my God. Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel.” Joshua 14:6, 9, 14 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/jos.14.6,9,14.kjv

Individual vs Collective blessings

Individual vs Collective blessings.... There is indeed a difference especially in the affairs of the kingdom. The Bible reading today explores the story of Caleb who was singled out for a blessing because he knew His God, boasted of His God’s abilities and went on to follow God. He got a generational blessing because he dared to be different. He chose to stand with God when the heart of the others were afraid. This is very instructional because only a few men were chosen at a time to get a peak into the promised land and they had the responsibility to inspire the people but most of them failed except Joshua and Caleb. Ultimately the people’s heart was weary because they were outnumbered. The result of Joshua and Caleb’s choice to align with God resulted in preservation for them as they survived the generational transition that happened in the 40 years while they journeyed in the wilderness. In addition Caleb secured the promise that was made to him at that time and so while collectively Isreal entered into the promise, Caleb called to rememberance the promise that was made and he entered into that promise because “he wholly followed the Lord”. I pray that in the days and positions of your leadership, you will not fail God. You will trust that if he has said it then he will bring it to pass and you will inspire those that you have been called to guide/direct in Jesus name. Ultimately, beyond the collective blessings, you will enter into your glorious individual generational inheritance through Christ.

Prayer: Dear God, I choose to follow you wholly... Let my paths be made bright... Help me to trust you and stay faithful that I might enter into my inheritance in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
