Keep at your kingdom assignments

“For the Lord will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the Lord to make you his people. Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:” 1 Samuel 12:22-23 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1sa.12.22-23.kjv

Keep at your kingdom assignments

Regardless of the disposition of the recipients of God’s message through you, you have a responsibility to continue to carry out God’s instructions. In the Bible reading today, after the Isrealites appeared to have somewhat rejected Samuel in asking for a king to rule over them rather than Samuel who had been judging them, Samuel still committed to praying for them and teaching them the right things as it would be a sin against God not to do so. In Ezekiel 3:18-19, God emphasizes the duties of a watchman who has been sent on assignment to the people. According to that passage God says that if you have been instructed to warn and you do not and the person dies in the sin then such a blood will be on your hands. However if such a message is delivered and they yield not, you are cleared. There is a tendency to be weary when we don’t appear to be getting the results we envision on an assignment but we must not relent. You may be the planter or the ‘waterer’ of the seed but we must always count on God to give the increase. Just do your part whole heartedly.

Prayer: Dear Lord, no matter how hard the assignment looks, please give me the grace to stay focused on your instructions and to do your will at all times 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
