God’s instructions concerning life and living are critical for survival, preservation and thriving. He promised us as his children that he will lead us in the way that we should go and that he would guide us with his eye. What more does an individual need than the guidance and specific instructions of the all-knowing and all-seeing king of kings. He is the one who knows the end from the beginning.  This further reiterates the Bible verse that says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.  In today’s Bible reading, we are told to keep God’s instructions within our heart as a good breeding ground for the issues that then flow out of them. We are further guided to guard the heart with all diligence because if we are careless, despite having the word of God in our heart, we may choke it out if we permit the torns of evil thoughts to compete for our hearts. So, do you seek to thrive in life? Then choose wisely, invest in knowing God’s instruction and then guard your heart like everything depends on it.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the only wise God, the king of kings and the Lord of Lords. The one who was, is and for ever will be. Please Lord, send your word to me constantly to guide me and Lord let my heart be a fertile breeding ground for your word. Let my life blossom at the inspiration of your words in my heart in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
