Keep the fire burning

โ€œAnd thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always. In the tabernacle of the congregation without the veil, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the Lord: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.โ€ Exodus 27:20-21 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.27.20-21.kjv

Keep the fire burning

The light of the temple must not go out. The light of the place of fellowship and communion with our maker must always shine bright fueled with the oil of our commitment to and passion for the Lord. When giving instructions to Moses for the ark and temple, he promised to commune with the them above the mercy seat. However in todayโ€™s reading, he gave the instructions to the Isrealites to bring pure olive oil for the lamp to ensure that it burns always. There was a specification give for the kind of oil that must be brought. As present day Christians, God continues to seek for our fellowship and communion constantly so he needs the lamp of our hearts and life to be continually lit with a consecrated worship with the whole of our lives. Question today is: Do you check your altar regularly? Is the fire still burning bright? Is God still able to commune with you? Are you living a consecrated life?

Prayer: Dear Lord, I come before you anew today. Please grant me the grace to live a like of intentional consecration to you that I may continue to enjoy the benefits that come from continual fellowship with you. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ
