Lay aside every Weight

“And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself: Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:” Leviticus 16:11, 15 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/lev.16.11-15.kjv

Lay aside every Weight

Wait! Before you stand in the gap, make sure that you are fit to stand. Before you go out to battle, ensure that you have done proper housekeeping. Right after a fantastic success with Jericho, Israel fell to a small city of Ai. They fell because they had become contaminated through disobedience. They were unfit to go to war because the grand commander was not pleased with them. In the Bible reading today, God spoke to Moses to provide some instructions to Aaron after his two sons had been killed for offering strange fire to God.  The instruction to Aaron was for a sacrifice for him and his household first before making atonement on behalf of the whole of Israel. As children of God who are on one assignment or the other it is important that we regularly examine our lives to ensure that we are in right standing with the maker so that we are not exposed in the battle of life. Kingdom assignments start from the inside out. Always recognize the priorities.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for standards in righteousness and holy living that you make known to us regularly so that we don’t fall out of your presence. Please Lord, help us Lord to recognize the promptings of the Holy Spirit in our lives so that we don’t fail in the battle of life due to carelessness within in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
