Learn to set it apart
“Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations, and their countries, and have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them. Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only.” Isaiah 37:18-20 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.37.18-20.kjv

Learn to distinguish the facts from the truth. There is a reason the peace that God grants often passes all understanding. It is because it is a peace that stems from a truth that is unwavering in the face of the facts of our situations. The Bible reading today paints such a scenario when Hezekiah king of Judah received a message of terror from the King of Assyria. He dared to say to them that God could not save Judah out of his hands because he said that the gods of the other nations that he dealt with could not save them. This would make a person fear but Hezekiah went to report him to the one that he had insulted. What was profound for me though was Hezekiah’s prayer in which he provided a clear distinction between the true God and the other gods. The facts of ground were correct, that the king of Assyria dealt with those nations but the truth was that those gods were ordinary works of men that could not compare to the one true God. Well, the story ends with the true God fighting the battle on their behalf and dealing with their enemies. So, do you recognize the truth about your seemingly desperate situation?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the Holyspirit, the spirit of truth that guides us in all truths. Please Lord, I look to you in every situation of my life. Please arise and establish the truth one more time for the whole world to see that you are the defender of your own 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
