Let God fight for you

“And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the Lord's anointed, and be guiltless? David said furthermore, As the Lord liveth, the Lord shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and perish. The Lord render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness: for the Lord delivered thee into my hand to day, but I would not stretch forth mine hand against the Lord's anointed.” 1 Samuel 26:9-10, 23 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1sa.26.9-23.kjv

Let God fight for you

The Lord assured the Isrealites consistently in the Bible of his great deliverance. In one instance, he said “I’ll fight for you and you will hold your peace”. As a natural man, it can be sometimes exciting to see your enemies or detractors in a position of weakness. In fact at those times you get the cheers of people telling you that it’s your time to revenge for all the ills that had been done to you. But as children of God, we must always seek the deliverance of God even when it tempting to ‘show them’ especially when they are fellow believers. David in the Bible reading today had another chance to kill his hunter King Saul. After all, Saul and his people came into his territory in his hiding place seeking his life. But he once again showed utmost discipline and respect for the anointing of God upon Saul as a king despite his misbehavior. He left the battle to the one who is able to settle the scores permanently. Are you in a position to ‘deal’ with those that have wronged you? Even though you may be able to identify a few reasons why the action would be justified, why don’t seek God’s fave today and let him fight for you. He will certainly deliver the victory in a way that all will see that ‘ThIs could only have been God’.

Prayer: Dear God, please step into my situation and fight my battles for me in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
