Do you recognize the potency of our God? Are you fazed by the facts of your challenges or calm in the truth of the ability of our God to quench the seemingly unquenchable? In the Bible reading today, Hezekiah the king of Judah took his cries to the King of kings whom the king of Assyria had confronted and insulted. He knew that the battle was not his but the Lords. While he recognized that the king of Assyria had dealt with many nations in the past, yet he knew that the gods of those lands had nothing in common with the creator of the universe. He knew God and asked that God show himself to all the nations of the world.  He knew for certain that by strength shall no man prevail. And then the king of glory took over the battle. In a very unique way such that the whole of the earth will recognize who is boss. The people of Judah did not have to lift a hand. The Lord said he will defend Judah for his name sake and for David’s name sake and so he sent his Angel into their camp and by morning there were dead bodies all around. What is it that is confronting you? Questioning your trust in the saving grace of the almighty? Take the matter to the one who has never lost a war.  But before you do that, the question would be: Are you in right standing? We were told that Hezekiah as a king did all that was right in the eyes of the Lord I like most of His predecessors. So his claims were premised on the relationship that was already established in the place of worship and service. Are you loading your clouds?

Prayer: Dear Lord, that you for your saving grace and for your mighty power. I come before you afresh to dedicate my life to your worship and service. Please step into my situation and fight all my battles for your names sake so that all the glory will be yours always 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
