Move onward in Faith

“And Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power: thou shalt not have one lot only: but the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.” Joshua 17:17-18 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jos.17.17-18.kjv

Move onward in Faith

You are often required to put in the work to fully lay claim to your inheritance even when it has been earmarked for you. Some of our blessings are wrapped in challenges that must be overcome to see the full benefits. When the Israelites were at the Red Sea complaining to God because of the Egyptians that were hot on their chase, God’s instruction was to move forward. Often, what we need is forward movement in faith. In today’s Bible reading, the tribe of Manasseh and Ephraim had been complaining about the size of the Lot that they received.  However, Joshua reminded them that the mountain was theirs to be taken. Also that they needed to drive out the Canaanites that were still on the land so that they can take full ownership of their inheritance. He reminded them of the capacity that they carried as great people with great power. They just needed to put it to work. What capacity has God put inside of you to take on the land that he has promised you? You need to put it to work to see the full benefit of the promise.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you because you own the cattle on the thousand hills. Thank you because you have deposited capacity in me for the assignments and blessings that you have given me. I receive the boldness to step into my promise in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
