Nourishment by the Word

“The waters made him great, the deep set him up on high with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field. Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees of the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches became long because of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth.” Ezekiel 31:4-5 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/ezk.31.4-5.kjv

Nourishment by the Word

In the Bible reading today, the Lord used an analogy of a cedar tree for the great kingdom of Assyria in a conversation that he had with the prophet Ezekiel. He then goes on to describe the strength of the tree highlighting the source of the strength and growth. The source here was the water that fed the roots of the tree which then translated into the heights.  This is why the Bible says that if the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do. The significance of water for growth with regards to our life’s as people of God is the connection to the river of life through the Holy Spirit and the word of God. The time spent washing in the word translates to heights on all aspects of life. Do you seek to grow tremendously? Then let your roots be nourished always in the water of life.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the source from whom all blessings flow. Thank you for making available all that we need for life and godliness. Please Lord help me to stay anchored to your word and to learn through the Holy Spirit so that my life can transform into one of tremendous growth in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
