Obedience brings Peace
“Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea: thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.” Isaiah 48:17-19 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.48.17-19.kjv
The key to peace is obedience to the Almighty God, the creator of heaven and the earth. He gives peace that passes all understanding. He continues to lead and calls us to a place of obedience to his guidance but the choice remains ours. In the Bible reading today, God was speaking to Israel who he described as calling the name of the Lord but not in truth and righteousness. In the text, he reckons that if only they listened to him, and followed his instruction then they would have had peace, righteousness and then abundance. Abundance without peace of mind is incomplete. Do you seek peace and abundance today? Then turn to God in complete obedience, wait for the process, and all things will work together for your good because you are following the one who leads you in the path of righteousness for his name sake.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for being mindful of me. Thank you for leading me constantly. Lord please grant me the grace to be sensitive to your prompt and give me the grace to stay in obedience even when my rational mind thinks otherwise and let the blessings of obedience be evident in my life in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
