The Bible tells us that to obey is better than sacrifice, and to obey than the fattening of rams. Some people have normalized the act of offending first before seeking forgiveness. However, the Bible is clear on God’s standard on this. As corroborated in the Bible reading today, the Lord would rather have you do the right thing upfront than to come before him with sacrifices.  This is why he tells us that when we come before his altar with sacrifices and realize that someone has something against us then we must halt and go sort that out before coming before him. God assesses the individual and heart ahead of the gift. So, if your sacrifice would be received of God as a seed of blessing then you must ensure that you meet God’s standard of acceptance of your person. Again, to obey is better than sacrifice. Choose wisely.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for your foundation that stands sure and for being the reliable God that you are. Father, I come before you seeking your mercy. Please accept me and let my sacrifice of praise, worship and service be acceptable unto you in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
