Stop recruiting help when God has not asked you to. In the Bible reading today, Amaziah the king of Judah wanted to go to war with the Edomites and he was not comfortable with the numerical strength of his army so he went to hire help from the armies of Israel. However, he received stern warning from God through the prophet of the danger of the mixed multitude. The Lord was not with Israel and Judah was going to lose the battle by association. Sometimes, the reason we don’t want to backtrack from wrong moves is the investment in time and resources that we believe that we have made as was the case of Amaziah who was worried about the money that he had paid.  He was told however that God was able to give him more than that. So the key message here is to not continue down a path that is displeasing to God just because of vested interests. All the vested interest is sure to amount to a loss if God is not in it. Secondly, God works with minimal numbers so that it can be clear to all that this victory could only have been won by God. Trust God completely and do his bidding absolutely - and victory is certain.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the mighty one in battle, the rock of ages, our dependable and reliable God. Father, please help me to know your will per time so that I don’t wander into error by rationalizing where I should not. I receive the grace for complete obedience in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
