Open up to God
“Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.” Micah 7:18-19 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mic.7.18-19.kjv

Halleluyah…our God is full of mercy. He is a compassionate God that understands our frailties. He is however still a God of principles and so that means that he metes out judgement as appropriate but does not leave us abandoned. The Psalmist tells us that his anger is but for a moment but his favor is for life. The Bible reading today, having considered some of the punishment that Israel had received in their disobedience still concludes with an appreciation of God’s compassion and how he forgives the remnant. There is however one precondition to enjoy these mercies, and that is the brokenness of our hearts and a willingness to recognize the corrections and retrace. The opposite of that is what we see in the Bible when God said that because they did not want to retain him in their knowledge that he yielded them to a reprobate mind to continue to do the things that are not convenient. Are you itching to receive God’s mercies and to break a chain of generational punishment? Then open up to him and seek his face because God’s sacrifice is a broken spirit and contrite heart.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are indeed plenteous in mercies. You have promised us your mercies from generation to generation. Please Lord help me to be a recipient of your mercies. Please turn every stony heart to that of flesh and help me to partner with you into my glorious destiny 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
