Our God is a consuming fire

“Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry? Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still, When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.” Psalm 76:7-9 KJV

Our God is a consuming fire

No matter how cuddly a lion is to his cubs, it does not take away the fact that he is the king of the jungle. The Bible reading today speaks about how unpalatable God’s anger can be. Our God is a good of judgment and when he steps into a situation on behalf on his Children, the root and foundation of such an issue shakes. However, as children of God we must ne careful no to get too familiar with God as there are consequences of being on the wrong side of his anger.

Prayer: Dear Lord, as you fight my battles and enemies, please also save me from my self. Let me not cross the line of your anger through complacency and familiarity in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
