Our God is mighty

“Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting. The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.” Psalm 93:2-4 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.93.2-4.kjv

Our God is mighty

Our God is mighty indeed. The Psalmist says that the heavens declare the glory of the Lord and goes on to tell us that day upon day speaks and night upon night tells of God. It is often a challenge for people to appreciate how big and glorious our God is but when we think of how the universe is gingerly balanced in place and the days and seasons don’t seize in their rhythm. And yet we know that the one who controls the times and seasons of the earth is mindful of every hair that comes off our head, it is absolutely mind boggling. The Bible reading today reminds us that God’s throne has been established of old and his voice is mightier than the noise of many waters. It is indeed a privilege to be the child of the controller general of the whole world because we know then that truly all things work together indeed for our good when we are at the center of his will and there is no challenge that God can cannot tackle. Because when he speaks it is established (Ps 33:9). As we go about our activities today, let’s take time to reflect on the things around us and see God’s mighty hands at work.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I look at the world around me and I stand in awe of your greatness. Thank you for being mindful of me. Please Lord, let me never get carried away and take your love for granted in my life. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
