The Bible says ‘I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him."’ (Lamentations 3:24). A popular song lyrics also says “I won’t trade you for silver or gold.... I won’t trade you for riches untold... you are my everything”. One with God is a majority. In today’s reading, when the sharing on the land to the tribes of Isreal was done, the Levites where not given a physical inheritance, they were told that the God of Isreal is their inheritance. Seems tough? However, there are a few people that God has called to a life of consecration and special service to him and initially it looks hard because by physical standards it looks like they don’t compare when others are going after the good things of life. Anyone who partners with God will never be stranded. The Levites got the best of the lot because after the people worked, they brought the best of their goods to God as a sacrifice and that was the portion of the Levites. Is God calling you to a special assignment? Trust Him. He who owns the cattle on the thousand hills and all the silver and gold is more than able to flourish and prosper you. Halleluyah!!!
