Pivotal divine intervention

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him: And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the Lord.” Exodus 10:1-2 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.10.1-2.kjv

Pivotal divine intervention

There are certain deeds that are done that are talked about for a while after it has been done. There are some that are so pivotal that the story gets handed down from generations to generations. Such is the promise from God to Moses in today’s Bible reading. While the delay and the interim response of the Egyptians would have been very frustrating for the Isrealites but God was orchestrating the unique departure of Isreal from Egypt that would not only put the fear of God in generations of Egyptians yet unborn due to the impact, but would also instill fear in the hearts of many other nations around for generations to come. The Lord says that his thoughts towards us are to give us a hope and a future and to give us an expected end. God was preparing a grand transition for the Isrealites but we know in the Bible that this batch of Isrealites mostly perished in the wilderness due to their own stubbornness and lack of regard for God’s statutes despite the great things that God did on their behalf in Egypt. They were never satisfied, always complaining and second-guessing God. So the note of warning today is that as God is fighting for you in the long-drawn out ‘battles of life’ be careful to see his hands in it and learn to trust completely so that you can indeed be a beneficiary of the war that will surely be won by God.

Prayer: Dear Lord, please continue to fight my battles and orchestrate my path. Please Lord don’t let me be an enemy to myself. Let the HolySpirit continue to prompt me to recognize any areas that I may be becoming complacent or taking your deliverances for granted 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
