Pride is destructive
“Whereupon the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, The LORD is righteous. And when the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance; and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak. And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him, that he would not destroy him altogether: and also in Judah things went well.” 2 Chronicles 12:6-7, 12 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/2ch.12.12.kjv

Don’t let pride stand between you and your deliverance. The Bible tells us that pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. In the Bible reading today, Rehoboam and Judah had strayed from the path and so God had given them up into the hands of the king of Egypt. However, when they recognized their situation, they turned to God. God acknowledged to the priest that they had humbled themselves. It is pride when we continue to say “I’ve got this” in the face of challenges trying out our own ways even when it’s obvious that it’s not working. Christ tells us in Revelation that he stands at the door and knock waiting for you to let him in. Some people resist the call for salvation due to pride because they can’t imagine handing over their habits, friends, accolades to God. What situation are you going through today? Reflect and seek God afresh. Humble yourself and see God step into your situation in a way that can only be divine. Don’t be the hinderance to your own prayer points by struggling the reins with the master-crafter of the universe.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your loving kindness always. Thank you for your mercies that never seize. Lord, I come to you today yielding all to you. I seek you Lord. Let me find you. Step into my situation and grant me peace 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
