“Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon. Then said he, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All that is in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.” Isaiah 39:3-4 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.39.3-4.kjv

Be careful how you allow strangers into your treasure houses. One of such is our heart. This is why the Bible tells us to guard our hearts with all diligence because out of it proceeds the issues of life. It is the seat of our being and hence we must be careful about the things that we let into our minds as they ultimately impact who we become. In the Bible reading today, basking in the euphoria of the recovery that he had when God extended his life, King Hezekiah entertained visitors from the king of Babylon. In his excitement, he showed them all the inner rooms and treasure stores in the palace. It was the height of carelessness. God sent the prophet Isaiah to tell him the consequence of what he had just done which was that in a while to come, the King of Babylon will come and clear out everything and take his sons captive as well. So, question today is what are you doing to safeguard your treasures? Are you entering into alliances that may rob you of your future and fulfillment? Be careful and protect your treasures from strangers. Protect your heart from corrupt communication and ungodly thoughts amongst others.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the mighty one whose throne is in heaven and earth is your footstool. I come before you afresh. Please grant me the spirit of discernment to recognize those strangers, physical, mental and spiritual, that could impact the treasures of my destiny and life; and give me the discipline to stay away from them in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
