Provision for the vision and assignment
“And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The Lord hath not appeared unto thee. And the Lord said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.” Exodus 4:1-2, 10, 12 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.4.12.kjv
When God chooses you for an assignment He makes available the capacity and resources regardless of what they look like to you. In the Bible reading today, Moses thought of every reason possible as to why he was not appropriate for the assignment that God gave to him to deliver the Isrealites from Egypt. Once beaten on a smaller scale, twice shy. He was certain that he was not the man for the job. However, for every limitation that Moses pointed out, God showed him the provision made. What appeared to be a rod in his hands was transformed into a serpent at the instruction of God. When concerned about his own limitation of speech, the master creator assured him that He who made the mouth will teach him what to say. Well, Moses was not satisfied and still asked for company. Even though God was angry at all the resistances, He still confirmed to Moses that Aaron will go on the assignment with Him. So many times, we receive instructions and promptings on what God is calling us to but we immediately shut down those because we believe that there is no way we can do that. Well, when God is in it then there is no limit. If it was so easy to do in the first place then you will likely not ascribe the glory back to God. His strength is revealed in our weaknesses and He continues to use the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. Is God giving you an assignment? Rest assured that he has made available the capacity and resources but you must ‘go’. Trust Him and see God come through to show forth His glory.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for being mindful of me and for your assignments in my life. Please give me the grace to trust and obey you completely in the face of unbelief. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
