Purify yourself

“So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.” And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged.” Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”” Isaiah 6:5, 7-8 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/isa.6.5-8.NKJV

Purify yourself

Sanctification precedes assignment. The process of purification yields the boldness and confidence to step up to the assignment of purpose. In the Bible reading today, prophet Isaiah was about to be launched into a new dimension of his ministry assignment. However, he started in a place of fear and timidity because he counted himself unworthy to witness such divine glory.  He said to himself that ‘Woe is me for I am undone’. However, after a coal of fire was put upon his lips, when the call for a representative was put forth, he put his hands up. He was ready to go. He had received confidence to be a bearer of the message only because he was purified. In the early old testaments, the priests needed to be sanctified for days before they could enter the sanctuary to carry out their duties. God’s foundation remains the same.  The carrier of the divine assignment must be purified first. Connection in the place of purity precedes service. Never forget that.

Prayer:  Dear Lord Thank you for the reminder that your foundation stands sure and you know those that are yours. Father I come before you humbly asking that you purify me of any iniquity in my life and sanctify for your divine assignment for my life in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
