Recognize your specific kingdom needs

โ€œAnd the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Take it of them, that they may be to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; and thou shalt give them unto the Levites, to every man according to his service. And Moses took the wagons and the oxen, and gave them unto the Levites. But unto the sons of Kohath he gave none: because the service of the sanctuary belonging unto them was that they should bear upon their shoulders.โ€ Numbers 7:4-6, 9 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/num.7.4-9.kjv

Recognize your specific kingdom needs

Do you recognize the tools of your service? Because when you do, it eliminates comparison and jealousy. There are so many instances in the Bible where we see God assigning resources based on abilities or assignments such as the parable of the talents and also in the Bible reading today. Of the groups of Levites, the Kohathites did not receive any of the wagons that the tribes of Isreal brought to the temple. This is because their own job within the temple required them to carry the ark on the shoulders so wagons were not required. Sometimes we are so lost in comparison of the talents, resources and connections that others have and we donโ€™t have, not realizing that God distributes according to our abilities. The turnover we achieve with the one he has given may now become a basis for increase like the the person who turned over his 5 talents and then got the additional 1 talent that was taken from the unproductive servant. However, we must focus first on our unique assignments so that we donโ€™t miss out overall. Godliness with contentment is great gain.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for loving me and for distributing gifts to us according to our several abilities. Please open my eyes to see the unique resources that you have deposited in me so that I can put it to good use and avoid the distraction of comparison with the resources that are not needed for my assignment ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ
