The same process that eliminates others yet brings others to refinement. The Bible tells us that those who are called of God and foreknown, predestined, justified and then glorified. While God constantly tells us that he will have mercy on whom he will have mercy on, he also tells us that those who dwell in the secret place of the Almighty shall abide under his shadow where no evil shall touch them.  In the Bible reading today, while God was going to destroy two thirds of the land, the preserved one third were to go through fire to become refined like precious metal. The refinement is not an easy process, but when they call on God, he will answer. It is therefore important to be on God’s side so that we know that on the other side of whatever our situation is, we will come out as gold despite the evil that others may experience. 

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are our shield and protector and you are a hiding place for your children. Please Lord hide me under your wings and purify me as I dwell in you so that I can come out refined in any situation of life in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
