Retain God in your thoughts

“For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth. The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.” Psalm 10:3-4 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/psa.10.3-4.kjv

Retain God in your thoughts

Do you retain God in your thoughts? Do you fit the definition of the wicked in today’s reading? Do you sanction the things that God hates? Often when the Bible uses certain words, we immediately profile who they might be referring to. “There is no way that is me”... we often think. But when we take the step back to meditate on the word and through the Holy Spirit we start to see insights that point us to how we fit into those descriptions. This is the first step towards retracing our steps back into God’s will. So as we go about our daily activities, let stop to think how much space we have for God in our hearts and lives. Nature abhors a vacuum and so when we don’t retain God, we permit other things that ultimately lead us further down the path away from God. Take time today to spend time with God, in your thoughts, through praise, through prayers and of course through his word where as we behold him we are transformed into His likeness.

Prayer: Dear God, as I seek to commune with you today, please let me find you. Fill the vacuum in my life in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
