Run your race with Focus

“And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.” Deuteronomy 6:6-9 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.6.6-9.kjv

Run your race with Focus

What are the markers of God’s instructions and deliverances in and around you? In today’s Bible reading, Moses was again reminding the Israelites of God’s commandment before they entered into the promise. Almost like the case of parents giving their children going off to school in a far location the pep talks that are supposed to guide their decision making in the new endeavor. Moses warned the Israelites to keep the instructions in their hearts, tell it to their children, have visible markers all around them.  He knew that there was a risk that when they got comfortable in the new land, they might forget all that they had been through and all they had been told. It is important that we are careful to identify the markers of God’s instructions around us and ensure that they remain in focus both within us and around us with accountability partners to remind us when we start to get carried away. Instructions before an endeavor help to run the race effectively and to stay focused. Are you focused on your kingdom race and divine assignment? How are you holding yourself accountable?

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness and your instructions for life. Father, please help through the Holy Spirit and helpers of destiny to stay focused on my race and not be distracted by the affairs of this world in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
