Learn to recognize the root cause. Often, there are times when an individual has an ailment that manifests in many symptoms. The first line of action is often to address these symptoms if the individual does not realize that there is an underlying issue. As long as that effort continues, there can only be temporary respite at best until the root cause is addressed. So it is not uncommon to use antibiotics as prescribed by a doctor and then seemingly unrelated symptoms all disappear at the same time.  Such is the case in the spiritual as well. In the Bible reading today, God was sending a word to one of the mockers of Israel. He starts with the fact that he, the Lord is against the nation. And then as a result, they were going to experience wars and all sorts of catastrophes. As long as they were dealing with those issues, others would continue to pop up because the actual rootcause was God’s displeasure.  Are there situations in your life that you seem to be tackling all the time? Maybe it’s time to stop and reflect. Sometimes, it may be as a result of sin, God’s displeasure or even God’s divine intervention. Until the rootcause is understood and addressed, all other efforts would be futile. Look inwards, dig deep and seek God’s face for clarity. 

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the mighty and majestic God that rules in the affairs of men. Lord, I commit my ways afresh into your hands. Please open my eyes to see anywhere in which I might be tackling underlying root causes. Help me Lord to deal with the roots so that the branches of my life can thrive in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
