Seek the Word
“that ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God. I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD your God.” Numbers 15:40-41 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/num.15.40-41.kjv

The Bible tells us that the book of law (the Bible) shall not depart out from our mouth but that we should meditate on it day and night so that we can do all that is written therein, and then we would prosper and have good success. In today’s Bible reading, God was commanding the Israelites through Moses to bind the laws to their robes so that it’s accessible to them always so that they can look at it and then carry out the commandments of the one who brought them out of captivity to be their God. This and many other passages in the Bible highlights the connection of knowing to doing. If we must live by the expectations of the one who saved us and who will be the final judge of how successful our life has been, then we must prioritize looking into his word. The Bible refers to it as seeking in some texts. Hence, it is an intentional act that is needed always to help calibrate our minds and keep us from wandering away from his presence. We are created for God’s pleasure. Are you bringing him pleasure? More importantly do you really know what brings him pleasure? Essentially, are you soaking in the word? The Bible tells us that in the volume of the books is written of you. All the answers are in there. Do yourself a favor and intentionally seek to know.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the all-sufficient God who knows every of my needs and is more than able to meet them. Thank you for teaching us your ways. Please Lord, I come before you seeking grace to know you more so that my life can be glorified as I encounter your light and life in the mirror of your word in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
