It is a privilege to see, hear and understand the deep secrets of the scripture. The bible tells us that you shall know the truth and it shall make you free. However, the Bible also tells us of those who heard the word and it did not profit them because it was not mixed with faith in their hearts. In the Bible reading today, Jesus Christ was debriefing with his disciples after speaking in parables to the people. When asked why, he revealed that there is a distinction between the access to the information that the people had vs the inner circle.  It was given to them to understand. To emphasize the privilege Jesus highlights the fact that many prophets prior has sought that level of insights but it was not made available to them. We also see that when the word of God lands on a good soil (heart) and is embraced it yields multiple fold increases. Hence, the importance of access to the one who is able to show you the word in a way that it can be received by faith. How much time are you investing in your relationship with God through the word and the Holy Spirit? Remember that the Holy Spirit teaches us, if we’ll open up our hearts. Seek to know today and gain the freedom that comes from a divinely-guided life.

Prayer:  Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for being mindful of the details of my life. Thank you for sending the light of your word to me. Please Lord help me to be receptive to the truth and let me gain freedom in all aspects of my life as a result of your truth revealed to me in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
