When the Lord speaks, we must listen because the Bible tells us that even if heaven and earth passes away, not one jot of his words will pass without establishing that which it has been sent. In the Bible reading today, the analogy of the lion who roars is used to describe when the Lord speaks.  As children of God, we must learn to recognize God’s voice and the way in which he speaks to us so that we don’t miss out on critical instructions and cues for us. Sometimes, he speaks to provide a warning, at other times he speaks to provide insights and at some other times he speaks to pronounce judgement.  Seek to know his voice so that you can be like the psalmist who says “once has he spoken and twice have I heard…”

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you rule in the affairs of men. Thank you for being gracious to us always. Please Lord help me to know you and recognize your voice so that I can listen and be transformed when you speak to me. Please Lord do not speak to me in your fierce anger for your mercy’s sake in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
