Serve God in reverence

“And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods. But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?” 2 Chronicles 2:5-6 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/2ch.2.5-6.kjv

Serve God in reverence

Your perspective in your walk and relationship with God is very important. Our God is the creator of the heavens and the earth and while he dwells and communes with us as father, he is still Lord over all. Hence, a position of true reverence is important in our dealings with God. The Bible reading today is a great example with Solomon acknowledging the great privilege it was to ‘build a house for God’, knowing that it is impossible for God to be contained in that house. And so Solomon understood his place and realized that the gesture was in fact to build a place of sacrifice for God.  It is important that as we start to get the gifts and dividends of God’s blessings that we never get carried away and forget the true source and how our sustenance is driven only from him. This helps to worship God in total submission and appreciation. So for example, ask yourself - Am I making out time from my busy schedule for God or am I yielding the prime time to the giver of time for a time of fellowship in appreciation of the ability he provides to do other things? They may sound the same but the perspective is different.

Prayer: Dear Lord thank you because you are plenteous in mercy and wisdom. Thank you for revealing your words to me. Please help me to reprioritize my relationship with you and help me to be a beneficiary of the blessing that come from a dedicated and commuted heart of worship 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
