Sin distances God

“They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them. I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.” Hosea 5:6, 15 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/hos.5.6-15.kjv

Sin distances God

The Bible tells us in the book of Isaiah to seek the Lord while he may still be found and to call upon the Lord while he is near. The Bible reading today speaks about God’s pronouncement towards Israel and the tribe of Ephraim. Having identified the fact that they have sinned continuously, He (God) said that when they come to him with their sacrifice he will not hear them.  He was going to be far from them until they repent and return from their evil ways. We are constantly reminded in the Bible that God’s arms are not short to save nor his ears dull to hear us but sin continues to create a wedge between the creator and his creations. So, are you seeking for God’s help? Examine your ways and heart to be sure that sin is not a hinderance to your answers and God’s deliverance.

Prayer: Dear Lord thank you for your mercy and lovingkindness. Thank you because you always leave a path of repentance for your erring children. Please Lord help me. Open my eyes to see where I have drifted from the center of your will and give me the grace to return to your loving arms of victory in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
