Sin pollutes
“This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel. Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me. Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.” Isaiah 43:21-22, 27-28 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.43.21-28.kjv

Sin is a destiny disruptor. Sin pollutes a pure relationship and brings about all sorts of negative outcomes. God created us for fellowship and to bring forth his glory. We see in the garden of Eden how God would come down for a chat in the cool of the day. All that was disrupted when disobedience and sin came into the picture. In today’s Bible reading, God reaffirms all the great promises that he had in store for Isreal and how they were his beloved and witness of his power and goodness to the world. However, he points to the lack of reciprocation by the house of Jacob and how they transgressed continually against God. Hence, their beauty was turned around and they were given to curses and captivity. The Bible tells us that the thought that God has towards us his children are for good to give us a hope and a future, to give us an expected end. However, we play a significant role in these promises coming to pass. This depends on our commitment to living a life of dedication to God. A life that he is continually pleased with. The Bible tells us that God’s hands are not too short to save us but our sins have created a wedge between us and him. Choose wisely.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for your thoughts towards me. Because they are for good and to establish me as a witness to the world. Please Lord, help me to please you and let my life continually bring glory to you in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
