The benefits of a dedicated and committed walk with God are not only for the present and initial beneficiary but also serves as a preservation for generations to come. The Bible reading today tells us that seed of the person who fears God and is happy to do his will always, will be established. We see that so many times in the lives of the Isrealites. Despite their many misbehaviors and God’s anger towards them, God always repented for the sake of the covenants that He(God) had made with their Fathers - Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Even in present days, some children experience an unusual divine covering and blessing as a result of the kingdom work and walk of their parents. Our God is a God of principles and will certainly discipline an erring child but as part of his principles too he does not break His covenants to His beloved creating somewhat of a ‘soft spot’ towards some people. So thinking about a legacy for your children and generations after? Then delight in the commandments of the Lord and do his will always. It attracts blessings now and preserves such blessings to future generations.
