Sowing and Reaping
“They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off. For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.” Hosea 8:4, 7 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/hos.8.4-7.kjv

A very critical time that a lot of people often take for granted is the time of sowing. The early actions that we take that seem insignificant but once planted into the soil of life grows beyond expectations. In the Bible reading today, God’s pronouncement upon Israel was that they had sown the wind and they were to reap the whirl wind. They had made choices on their own without regard for God. They had replaced God with idols in their hearts and they were now to reap the benefits . The decisions that we make daily can be likened to seeds which grow to bear fruits and that is why some things happen years down the line that trace back to decisions from prior years, often manifesting in a bigger or almost unrelatable form yet founded in the seeds that were sown. Hence, it is very important that we put God at the center of our plans and obey him completely. So that whatever the outcome, we are sure that God has got our back and will work it all out for us. What seeds are you sowing today?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you have got times and seasons in your hands. Please Lord I commit my daily sowing seasons into your hands. Please guide me to sow the right seeds and watch over the process till it yields a glorious harvest in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
