Stand Out
“The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow; Let Him be your fear, And let Him be your dread. And I will wait on the Lord, Who hides His face from the house of Jacob; And I will hope in Him. Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me! We are for signs and wonders in Israel From the Lord of hosts, Who dwells in Mount Zion.” Isaiah 8:13, 17-18 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/isa.8.13-18.NKJV

Don’t stay with the multitude to go astray. The Bible talks about the righteous being the temple God and expressly commands his children to come out from amongst the people and be separate. He says that if we don’t touch unclean things that he will receive us and he will be our God and we will be his people. Imagine the supernatural branding that comes from being labeled as God’s own. Being in a community where sin thrives is no excuse for a child of God. In the Bible reading today, the prophet Isaiah was reminding Judah of the importance of turning their focus and reverence to the Lord Almighty. He goes on to categorically say that he and his children are signs and wonders in Israel only because they choose to wait upon the Lord. So what’s your excuse? Is it because sin has been normalized in your community, workplace, or nation? Well, be reminded that the foundation of the Lord stands sure, he knows those that are his. Come out and be separate and then experience the benefits of a life branded for Christ.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for being there for us. Thank you because you remind us always of your expectation of righteous living. Please Lord help me. Help me to stay focused on you and not to be distracted by the community of sin and lawlessness. Grant me the grace to stand out for you in righteousness and let the benefits be evident for all to see in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
