Stand your guard
“For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.” 2 Samuel 17:8 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/2sa.17.8.kjv
Are you know for standing your guard? As a Christian, are you cautious and watchful? Or are you carried away in the midst of the people that you are supposed to be protecting in the spiritual? In today’s Bible reading, Absalom was seeking counsel regarding an advise that he had received from Ahitophel to go and strike his father David and his men. But according to the inspiration of God, Hushai who was called gave a different counsel. But it was believable because David was known to be a man of war and and very cautious. So in your kingdom assignments, what are you know for? Do you stand your guard? Remember our adversary the Devil is going around looking for who to devour.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your love and your mercies that are new every day. Thank you for the assignments that you have given me. Please Lord give me the grace and discipline to perform my assignments diligently and to not fail in that which you have committed into my hands 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
