Are you a talebearer? Often, some people under the guise of godly concern in fact become bearers of stories that cause or worsen strife within the body of Christ. This is why the Bible reading today likens the tale bearer to firewood that sparks the fire of strife. If you constantly find yourself in the circle of those who are constantly discussing the affairs of others then you may be treading on dangerous grounds because you may be contributing to something that God dislikes which is disunity in the body of Christ.  If in doubt about a person’s issues, pray for the individual or seek counsel will the leaders only because you are seeking respite for someone who may potentially be derailing. Recall that God sees the heart and so even if you do it the right way without the right heart then you miss the mark. Stay focused on your heavenly race and seek to help others not to pull them down.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you dwell in the midst of a united people. Lord please have mercy on me for any time that I may have contributed to the disunity amongst brethren intentionally or carelessly. Teach me to bridle my tongue and guide me away from the council of talebearers and the ungodly in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
