Stop walking in disobedience
“And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this; but hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy Lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:” Daniel 5:22-23 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/dan.5.22-23.kjv

Stop reenacting past lessons of disobedience. The examples from the Bible and in our generation of those who lived right or who lived in disobedience and their associated reward are for us to learn so that we don’t make bad choices. However, it appears that people often still do the same things that brought punishment on others in the past. Such was the case in the Bible reading today. The son of Nebuchadnezzar despite having seen his father go through 7 years of learning till he acknowledged God, still towed the path of pride against God and in a worse manner for that manner. In his case, he used the precious holy vessels that had been brought from the temples of Jerusalem for drinking wine with his family and to add to the insults he was worshipping the gods of silver, gold and others while at it. Well, his verdict was instant. He had failed on heaven’s scale and his kingdom would be taken away from him. In addition, he died the same night. Be careful of treading the same dangerous paths of iniquities of those that have gone ahead. There may or may not be a second chance for repentance from willful disobedience. Be careful.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you reign and rule in the affairs of men. Please Lord show me your ways. Teach me your truth and help to live according to your instructions and not be a victim of recurrent patterns of sin and punishment in my generation in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
